I laugh in the face of normal

I’m a writer and a poet and I also have a normal job in which I try to inject a bit of madness when no one is looking!  This blog was started after my marriage ended and I suddenly became really happy.  It won’t be a depressing blog, or a rant about how horrible men are – it’s an honest attempt to laugh at myself and life around me and share some of that joy at just being a crazy speck of dust in a wonderful universe with others.

    I was married for 15 years and a father of two when I got divorced six years ago. Having a weekly humor column got me through it, along with my kids. I remember that feeling of being really happy for the first time in many years. I’ve been re-married now for four years and have that feeling every day. Keeping a perspective on the funny things in life not only gets you through it, but makes life that much better. I think it slows the aging process, too. When I was married the first time, I felt 90; today, I feel 30 (even though I’m 46). Cheers!
